What Happened to LiveLeak?
On May 5 LiveLeak website started to redirect to the page called Itemfix. This is a new service that permits users to edit audio, video, and more. The co-founder of LiveLeak Hayden Hewitt thanked his collaborators and others for making Itemfix. They have now moved on to the new website.
He said that the world has changed and the internet also is changing. That is why they are trying something new. This new website is also run by the same team who ran LiveLeak. But the Itemfix will be stricter in their privacy policies. It will excessively prohibit the gory contents in its portals so no one will have the chance to share such videos on the platform.
Hewitt knows that many of LiveLeak users will be disappointed and angry with the change. But he is asking the users to try this exciting new thing. He hopes that they will understand his reasons and appreciate them.
Conclusion
It is a good thing for the LiveLeak creators to take a new path. This will enable them to manage a platform safe from harmful content.
