Embedding a YouTube video in a blog post or your own web page is the easiest thing to do. You just copy the URL and paste it on the write-up for your blog or web page and it gets embedded. Contrary to popular belief, removing the Youtube logo is not illegal. Removing the YouTube logo from the video you embed brings authenticity to your videos.
For the purpose of example, we have added two videos with and without the YouTube logo. It is to be noted that if you are using ?showinfo=0 in the URL code, modest branding will not work. ?showinfo=0 is used to remove the title on the top of the video. There is only one way to remove that logo from a YouTube video on your page/ in your content.
This can be done by following the simple steps:
Step 1: Copy the desired video’s source code to your write-up for your blog or page. we are aware of the fact that this will simply add the video to our site.
Step 2: Add ?modestbranding=1 in the source code of the video. Adding modest branding in the source code removes the YouTube logo from the video.
Example:
YouTube video with Logo:
Youtube video without the YouTube Logo
Adding modest branding to the URL of the desired video removes the logo of YouTube from the right bottom of the video. But this method will not work if you are using ?showinfo=0 in the URL to remove the title of the video.
This method prevents the users/visitors from straying away from your website by clicking on the YouTube video and shifting to YouTube to watch the same video.
